Yeah,

Sorry all. I've decided that due to an increase in the number of journals that are filled with anti-dA writing, the actual dA admin issues, mountains of stupid gay fandom, and generally being disappointed at how much downtime this site has, I'm just gonna be on my way. Its time to move on to bigger and better things. It's time to move on. I've had a great time here, it bordered on addiction at times, but I've scarcely been here as of late and think that's where I'll let it subside.

I'll check back here and there. But I think from now until then I will likely just use my flickr ([link]) site to display images. Its faster, I can upload from my desktop, even if I'm not a paying member I can upload and do things with great ease.

Thank you to everyone that was a huge support, especially

Not Shooting

I've decided that I have been taking myself too seriously.
I want to do more work, I want to shoot everyday.
But on days like today I spend the day inside, and don't shoot a thing. All that glorious gear I bought is going to waste.
What the hell am I doing or not doing that is keeping me from doing anything?

I'm taking myself too seriously as a photographer.
I need to shoot and not care about the money, money will come from other places.
I need to get better first. :sigh:

Color Calibration, help!

K folks, its help Timmy time.

I just bought the Spyder 2 Suite color calibration saftware and colorometer, and man are they freaking sweet.

But I'm having a hard time understanding how profiling works.
So far this is what i have determined:
-The color space that i have been working in with my otherwise NOT calibrated monitor was grossly out of sync with the rest of the world.
-now that i have calibrated and set my proofing colors in photoshop to my monitor profile, it matches what you see uploaded in my gallery, in particular the recent corset shoot.
-in order to get the true color that i wanted initially i will have to go back in re edit the images, which will be a pain but worth it.
- i have no idea what this all means in terms of printing at, home or in lab
-anytime i save an image in photoshop it embeds the used profile for that space into the saved jpeg.
-this is a problem.

SO, if anyone has any books or websites that they can recommend for calibration, i would be all ears and eyes.

Anyone...? Pretty please?
